Our financial statements are prepared and audited in accordance with US GAAP (United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). In addition, our financial disclosure is stated in US currency, unless otherwise stated. The quarterly financial statements are referred to as 10-Q (or 10-QSB for 2007 and prior) and yearly are referred to as 10-K.
All of our financial statements, other continuous disclosure, and public filings are accessible through the Internet on the United States (U.S.) and Canadian regulatory filing services. These documents are filed under our company profile of Kodiak Energy, Inc. Advances in investment disclosure have prompted the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (U.S. SEC) to develop IDEA, an interactive data retrieval and analysis platform for public filings. IDEA will host and facilitate the use of public documents filed in extensible business reporting language (XBRL). The intension of XBRL with the IDEA platform is to provide investors and the financial community quick and easy access to publicly filed information, collate the data, then generate reports and perform analyses on multiple public companies at a time. The goal is for IDEA to eventually replace the EDGAR system.
